Grandad Joe. He was a gentle giant. Married to Gladys, My Nan....they had 6 children...Tony who died
at 19 in the early 1960's in a motorbike accident, Stephn, Joey, Eileen,Barbara & the baby of the
bunch...My Mom Christine, who passed away sadly on 1st Jan 2008. Grandad Joe worked for the local
council until he retired. He loved a pint at his local. He was a bit deaf in his older years so we
would have to shout so he could hear us!!!! My Nan passed away in Aug 1998, after that sad time,
Grandad was never the same. He refused treatment as he never wanted to go on without Nan. He was a
strong & brave man. Nan used to play him up... always giving him a bit of jip!!!! Grandad Joe had
cancer, but we all know that he died of a broken heart... My grandparents life is a true love story.
They went through a lot, but they stayed together until the end.... they are a true inspiration to
me, true love never fails xxxxxx

I know you cannot hear me. But I want all to know you did the beat toast in the house!!!! Just right... yummy!!!!! & I've got a love of sharp cheese & lemon squash, just like you... It takes me back to when I was a little girl every time I have some xxxx Thanks for the memories xxxxx
